Bubble Cap Column
Bubble Cap Column is a bell shaped cap which is fixed on the top of a
cylindrical risers through which the vapor passes the tray deck. The cap column
divert the vapor flow below the level of liquid on the tray deck where it is
jetted into the liquid either through slots at the bottom of the cap or else
between the skirt of the cap and the tray deck. The bubble caps facilitate the
continuous contact between the rising vapors and returning liquid. This range
is widely used in various food, beverages, alcohol and chemical industry. We are the Manufacturers,
Suppliers, Providers, Fabricators, Installations, Design Commissioning of Bubble Cap Column and these are provides in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane and all over India.
In bubble cap
trays, vapor flowing up through the tower contacts the liquid by
passing through bubble caps. Each bubble cap assembly consists of a riser and a
cap. The vapor rising through the column passes up through the riser in the
tray floor and then is turned downward to bubble into the liquid surrounding the
cap. Because of their design, bubble cap trays cannot weep. However, bubble cap
trays are also more expensive and have a lower capacity/higher pressure drop
than valve trays. Bubble-cap trays are rarely used for new installations on
account of their high cost and their high pressure drop. In addition,
difficulties arise in large columns because of the large which are set up
across the trays. Bubble cap trays are capable of
dealing with very low liquid rates and are therefore useful for operation at
low reflux ratios. There are still many bubble-cap columns in use and the
design considerations presented in Volume 6 are given to enable, in particular,
existing equipment to be assessed for new applications and duties.
